Among the titles making their way to streaming services after theatrical releases are War 2 (October 9, Hindi, Netflix), Mirai (October 10, Telugu, JioHotstar), and Sthal (October 10, Marathi, ZEE5).


Tron: Ares

October 10, English, in cinemas


The latest installment in the Tron series, Ares, picks up 15 years after Tron: Legacy. The film features a personified AI named Ares, portrayed by Jared Leto, created by Jullian (Evan Peters) to compete with the rival company Encom. Ares, alongside Athena (Jodie Turner-Smith), ultimately defies Jullian's control.


The Smashing Machine

October 10, English, in cinemas


Starring Dwyane Johnson, this biopic directed by Benny Safdie chronicles the life of Mark Kerr, a mixed martial arts champion. It delves into Kerr's struggles with addiction and his journey to recovery. Emily Blunt plays his supportive girlfriend, while Ryan Bader portrays a fellow fighter.


Feminichi Fathima

October 10, Malayalam, in cinemas


Fasil Muhammed’s acclaimed film Feminichi Fathima is set for release. The narrative follows a woman's struggle against her unkind husband, sparked by a foul mattress. Fathima, yearning for more than her roles as a housewife and mother, challenges societal norms, much to her preacher husband's dismay.


Dulquer Salmaan, who recently enjoyed success with Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra, is producing this film.


Lord Curzon Ki Haveli

October 10, Hindi, in cinemas


Anshuman Jha makes his directorial debut with this film set in the UK, revolving around a mysterious wooden trunk that captivates characters played by Arjun Mathur, Rasika Dugal, Paresh Pahuja, Zoha Rahman, and Tanmay Dhanania.

Konkona Sensharma stars in this Indian adaptation of the Danish series The Killing. Directed by Rohan Sippy, the six-episode series follows police officer Sanyukta as she investigates the rape and murder of a teenager, with various suspects including friends, a teacher, and a politician.


The cast also features Surya Sharma, Shiv Panditt, Irawati Mayadev, Sagar Deshmukh, Naved Aslam, and Mukul Chadda.


Veduvan

October 10, Tamil, on ZEE5


This series follows a police officer tasked with capturing a dangerous criminal, facing unexpected challenges along the way. Written and directed by Pavan, it stars Kanna Ravi, Sanjeev Venkat, Sravnitha Srikanth, Ramya Ramakrishna, and Rekha Nair.


The Woman in Cabin 10

October 10, English, on Netflix


Directed by Simon Stone, this adaptation of Ruth Ware’s novel features Keira Knightley as a journalist convinced that a passenger is missing from her luxury cruise ship, despite everyone being accounted for. The cast includes Guy Pearce, Hannah Waddingham, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and Art Malik.


Kurukshetra

October 10, Hindi, on Netflix


Following Mahavtar: Narsimha, the animated series Kurukshetra explores the epic battle of the Mahabharata through the eyes of 18 characters. Created by Anu Sikka and directed by Ujaan Ganguly, the series features lyrics by Gulzar.


The Last Frontier

October 10, English, Apple TV+


This action drama, led by Jason Clarke, is set in Alaska and revolves around the aftermath of a plane crash in a remote area. Created by Jon Bokenkamp and Richard D’Ovidio, it follows Frank Remnick (Clarke) as he manages the surviving convicts from the crash.


The series will premiere two episodes on October 10, with new episodes released every Friday until December 5.


Into The Deep

October 10, English, on Lionsgate Play


The film's synopsis reveals a group of divers who, after witnessing pirates executing drug runners, must undertake a dangerous dive to retrieve contraband amidst shark-infested waters.
